Guidelines for Submitting Cover Artwork
If you are submitting artwork to be dropped into one of our logo/mascot cover designs or a complete school designed front cover, please follow the below guidelines:
- Image Quality - Resolution of continuous tone images should be at least 300 dpi at the size they are placed in the page layout program. If the resolution of a file does not meet these standards, the quality of hte printed image will be noticeably low. Bitmap tiffs should be 1200 dpi at the size they are planed in the page layout program.
- Image Submission - All images should be saved as (CMYK or grayscale) photoshop tiffs, eps, bitmap tiffs, and illustrator or freehand eps. DO NOT SAVE IMAGES AS JPEG format files, PICT, GIF or WMF.
- Layout tip- Do not use "style" menu for bolding a font, italic, or bold italic. Use the proper version of the font. Example: If you make a font bold by using the menu style tool bar and there is no bold version of that font, it will not print bold even though it looks bold on the screen.
